Minister of Higher Education visits to Abu Dhabi to attend the “6th Assembly of the Forum for Promoting Peace in Muslim Societies” held from 9th – 11th December 2019.
Ambassador Dr. Niyaz and Deputy Ambassador Mohamed Faisal accompanied H.E Dr. Ibrahim Hassan, Minister of Higher Education and the delegation on their official visit to Abu Dhabi. During the visit, honorable Minister and delegation met with the Executive Vice President of Khalifa University, under-secretary for Academic Affairs of Higher Education at the UAE Ministry of Education and exchanged collaborations to strengthen the higher education sector of Maldives. They also discussed opportunities for Maldivian students to obtain scholarships in various fields of education in the UAE.
Minister Dr. Ibrahim Hassan and State Minister Khadeeja Adam also met with officials from Etihad Aviation Training Institute of Etihad Airways to discuss the possibilities for Maldivian students to study and train in the aviation industry.
Minister also met with Dr Faisal Obaid Al Ayyan, Vice President of Rabdan Academy Abu Dhabi to seek opportunities to train Maldivians in various academic fields in this institute.
Minister and delegation also visited ACTIVAT and The Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research.

Minister Dr Ibrahim Hassan met Dr Arif Sultan Al Hammadi, Executive Vice President of Khalifa University and exchanged ideas for collaborations in higher education including scholarship opportunities and research.
Minister Dr Ibrahim Hassan & State Minister Khadeeja Adam met with HE Dr Mohammad Al-Mualla, Undersecretary for Academic Affairs of Higher Education at the UAE Ministry of Education and discussed possible areas in which UAE could assist the Maldives higher education sector.
Minister Dr Ibrahim Hassan & State Minister Khadeeja Adam discussed possibilities for Maldivians to study/train in aviation related fields with officials from the Etihad Aviation Training Institute and Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi.
