The resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Maldives to the United Arab Emirates, Her Excellency Aminath Shabeena, presented her Letter of Credence to the Vice President, Prime Minister, Minister of Defense of the United Arab Emirates, and the Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, at a ceremony held at the Qasr Al Watan (Presidential Palace) in Abu Dhabi, today.
During the call following the ceremony, His Highness Vice President congratulated the Ambassador on the commencement of her term and conveyed greetings and good wishes to His Excellency President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the people of the Republic of Maldives. His Highness Vice President assured the commitment of the UAE to assist in the socio-economic development of Maldives.
Ambassador Shabeena expressed profound appreciation on behalf of the Government and the people of Maldives for the assistance received from the UAE in various development sectors of Maldives. Ambassador Shabeena also assured the commitment of the Maldives to work closely with UAE to further strengthen and expand the long standing relations between the Maldives and the UAE.
